How to Add a Free Company or Custom Logo to an FFXIV Screenshot

Upload a logo, place it with the nine-position grid, tune its scale and opacity, and export it with your screenshot.

XIV Frame treats a logo as an overlay layer. A transparent PNG is the best choice because only the artwork is placed over the screenshot; a JPG or a logo with a white background may show an unwanted rectangle.

1. Prepare the logo

  1. Use a transparent PNG when possible.
  2. The file-selection limit is 10MB. The resized data is checked too, so a lightweight transparent PNG is recommended instead of a large photo.
  3. Crop unnecessary empty space around the artwork before uploading. Extra padding makes the logo appear farther from the canvas edge.

2. Open Logo Upload

  1. Upload a screenshot first so the result is visible.
  2. Open Signature on desktop or Signature in the mobile bottom navigation.
  3. Select the Logo Upload tab.
  4. Click Upload Logo Image and choose the file.
  5. If the file cannot be read, choose a PNG or JPG again and check that the logo file is 10MB or smaller.

3. Choose a position

  1. Use the nine-position grid: top left, top center, top right, middle left, center, middle right, bottom left, bottom center, or bottom right.
  2. Start with a corner that has empty space in the screenshot.
  3. Move the logo to another corner when it covers a face, weapon, or outfit detail.

4. Tune scale and opacity

  1. Adjust Size from 10% to 200%. Start small and increase it only until the mark is easy to recognize.
  2. Adjust Opacity from 0% to 100%.
  3. Use full opacity for a clear Free Company mark. Use a lower value when the logo is only a subtle decoration.
  4. Check transparent edges at the final preview size; thin lines can disappear when the logo is too small.

5. Combine it with a text signature

  1. Switch to Text and enter a character name or server label if needed.
  2. Place the text and logo in different areas so they do not compete for the same corner.
  3. If the canvas feels crowded, reduce the logo size or opacity before moving the main signature.

6. Replace or remove the logo

  1. Upload a different file from the logo upload area when you want to replace the current mark.
  2. Use Delete Logo to remove the logo while keeping the screenshot and text settings.
  3. Removing the logo does not delete the uploaded screenshots.

7. Export

  1. Check the logo edge, transparency, and overlap with the subject.
  2. Click Export PNG on desktop or use Export → Save Photo on mobile.
  3. If you chose a transparent canvas background, inspect the downloaded PNG to confirm that the area outside the composition remains transparent.
  4. PNG is preferred, but an opaque result over 5 MB is automatically downloaded as a high-quality JPEG. If a transparent PNG cannot fit under 5 MB, the editor shows guidance instead of downloading it.
